What kind of Physiotherapy do you do?I treat muscular and bone/joint injuries/pain, sporting injuries, headaches, neck, back, TMJ/jaw pain, sinus as well as post-surgical rehabilitation. I unfortunately do not treat chests and neurology-related cases E.g. Stroke, Spinal Cord Injuries (quadroplegia etc.), Parkinson's Disease, Cerebral Palsy.

Do you do Dry Needling?Yes. I have completed the post-graduate courses in Dry Needling. As this is an invasive procedure, a consent will be required from you in the rooms after informing you of the procedure pros and cons.

Do you accept Medical Aids?All consultations, Medical Aid and Private, are billed according to RSA Medical Aid rates. Unfortunately, invoices are NOT submitted to Medical Aids. You are responsible for claiming back from your Medical Aid. Consultations are settled on the same day, immediately after your treatment. Payment options are Bank Card (Visa/MasterCard), SnapScan or FNB Geopayment. An invoice will be emailed to you within two days with the relevant codes for you to submit to your Medical Aid.

Do you submit invoices to my Medical Aid?Unfortunately, no invoices are submitted to Medical Aids. Consultations are settled on the same day, immediately after your treatment. An invoice will be emailed to you for you to submit to your relevant Medical Aid.

Can I claim my Physiotherapy treatment back from my Medical Aid?This is dependent on the Medical Aid plan that you are on. Some Medical Aids require a pre-authorisation code. If you are unsure, it is advisable to contact your Medical Aid to query whether physiotherapy is covered and if an authorisation code is required. All Physiotherapy invoices, emailed to patients following their treatment, have the relevant ICD-10 and treatment codes that your Medical Aid requires for a reimbursement.

How can I pay for my treatment?We have the following payment options: 1. Card payments 2. SnapScan 3. FNB GeoPayments 4. Scan to Pay directly from your banking app Unfortunately NO cheque deposits nor cash are accepted as forms of payment. An updated invoice will be emailed to you within two days following your appointment, once the payment has reflected on our side. Please indicate whether you require a separate receipt if paying via Bank Card.

Do I need a Doctor's referral to see a Physiotherapist?In South Africa, Physiotherapists are first line practitioners. Therefore a Doctor's referral is NOT required. Some Medical Aid's however do require a pre-authorisation before attending Physiotherapy. If you are unsure, contact your Medical Aid provider prior to attending your appointment.

How do I make a booking?Booking can be done quickly and easily online: 1. Click "Book an Appointment" This can be found on the home page or menu. 2. Appointment Select the type of treatment, date and time of your appointment. 3. Details Next, complete your Personal Contact Details. Please ensure that these are correct. This will be used to contact you regarding your appointment and to send invoices. 4. Confirmation of Appointment & Consent Form Once complete, you will receive an email confirming your appointment. For NEW PATIENTS to the practice there will be a link to complete your Personal details, Medical Aid details, and the Informed Consent. Please complete this prior to your appointment. Should you not receive this email, please check your spam/promotions folders. Alternatively, please send a text Whatsapp to 0842402827 with any queries. Should I be busy with a patient, I will contact you as soon as I can.

What do I need to bring?1. Please bring ONE Towel/Sheet: This will be used as bed linen for you. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, we have opted to continue disinfecting the bed between patients. 2. Please bring a pair of comfortable loose-fitting Shorts: This applies if you are attending for a leg injury E.g. Hamstring, Knee, Hip, Ankle.

Where are you based?I operate from a ground floor medical room inside the Old Warehouse building, Black River Park South, Fir Street, Observatory, Cape Town. There is parking available in the Visitor's Garage directly opposite the Old Warehouse Building. Your first hour of parking is validated by the practice. Please present this ticket to the physio during your session.

Can you give me directions?Directions from Cape Town City Centre: Follow Nelson Mandela Boulevard outbound of the City Centre towards Muizenberg. Keep Left at the fork to merge onto the Settlers way/N2 . Take Exit 8 for Liesbeek Parkway/M57. Merge Left onto Liesbeek Parkway/M57 towards Observatory. Turn Left onto Link Road. At intersection, continue straight into Black River Park SOUTH. Pass through Security. Turn Left following the sign to Old Warehouse Building. Continue just past the Vida e Caffe, you will see the entrance to Old Warehouse Building on your Right.
